Oh yes. I think it is very important that we are all given a second chance. Friendship is very important to me. Those who know me will confirm that. But friendship is about supporting one another in bad as well as good times. All friendships go through a bad patch, but a true friend would apologise for their role in any arguement and seek reconcilation, in other words giving each other a second chance. if only people realise that life is so short and that it is better to forgive than to lash out and carry malcious feelings about someone. of course there are times when forgiveness is impossible, there is only one person i cannot forgive as she crossed a moral line and has shown herself to care about noone but herself. Actually this person is not a friend, never was, a member of the family, although i dont regard her as such. But anyway getting back on track to the subject in hand. I am a very forgiving person, but sadly it is a two way process. True friends would forgive each other and move on. I have done that on a few occasions in the past and all is well now. But sadly some people cannot accept or understand the concept of forgiveness or true friendship. I find that very sad indeed. Consequences or regrets? yes i have alot of those. But at least i know i can sleep well at night knowing that I have done my upmost to patch things up when things do go wrong. I cant do anymore than that. I am so lucky in having friends that are thoughtful and kind. And i value their friendships very much. When i was depressed last year i thought i had very few friends, but of course the truth is far different. i have alot of friends. And that is a wonderful gift.
