Knee Update!

The saga of my knee continues. Thankfully happy news. I managed to walk even further today about a mile i would guess, which is bloody good going ! In my opinion anyway !! It does hurt to walk and put full weight on the knee, but the physio tell me this is what i have to do.. My knee is really tired now and my ankle is sore and i have run out of wine to celebrate with :( But at least i did it !! :)::) I still use the wheelchair part of the pavements to get on and off pavements/crossing the roads, and if there is none to be found i still have to touch a parked car to support me as i get off the pavement and on to the road. But i do feel i am getting there! At Last ! :) Sick note runs out on 14/5/05. I panicked yesterday thinking it was this week !!!! Gulp! i want to go back to work now and feel almost ready, but i think the extra two weeks off will be invaluable to me as i need to "road test" my knee in town, catch a bus/train etc. Once i can cope with that i know i am ready to go back. I am just glad i am not a professional footballer as this sort of injury would finish footballing careers. Gasigone had the same problem and he fell apart!. I was told Michael Owen had the same injury as me too. Hmm if only i had HIS physiotherapists! Very nice handsome men to be sure !!! :)
