Slippers and Doctor Who!!!

Had a frustrasting day today at the shops. I spent hours looking for a pair of slippers that i liked. Could not find any so i bought a boring bland pair of slippers from M&S !! At least i wont be wandering round the hospital ward next week with a hole in my slipper like my previous ones!!! I also bought my father his birthday pressie. Got two book on railways. I just hope i did not buy them at Christmas!. I really wanted to buy him some train videos, but there were none to be found !! Boo Hoo!! He does not have a DVD player so i could not get him DVD's instead! Oh and i replaced my freeview box today too with a digifusion top up tv freeview box. I now pay £7.99 for extra channels such as E4 and UK Gold! I realised that when i set up my new box the picture quality was much better than the previous one. So a good investment! I was also tempted by Dawsons Music and bought myself a stand for my clarinet ! Also bought some new reeds!.
Well after all the hype i sat down and watched Doctor Who tonight. Christopher Eccleston was brilliant but the script was bloody awful ! I just hope it gets better in the next few weeks. At the moment the Tom Baker/Peter Davidson era shows are better for its better scripts and darker themes. Despite the stickky bac props and costumes !! The Peter Davidson era is more meaningful as Adric "died" in Earthshock. They actually had the guts back then to kill off one of his companions and alot of children all over the country cried for days after that. I was one of them ! I bought the DVD for Christmas. It still packs a powerful punch. K9 was pretty cool too !! Jelly baby anyone?
