Sometimes it's ok to pimp yourself out. Post a list of your top five fic-favorites you've written, regardless of fandom or the reason you love them. This isn't about the BEST things you've written, but what you LOVE most. Then tag five other people to do the same
Well ok. I've been writing since 2005 i have fallen in love with writing Sherlock Holmes fan fiction writing and i know i will be with him for a long time to come, but i have done other fan fiction too. So without further ado.
1. Murder At Lodore Falls
My longest story ever and i had alot of fun writing this. Dedicated to Jeremy Brett and i had Edward Hardwicke in mind when portraying Dr Watson !! What do i like about the story? Well i did a bit of research when writing this. For example, Lodore Falls is a real geographical location, it's in Keswick, Cumbria. I may well go for a short break there next year and give the hotel where the Falls is located a copy of the story !! I also enjoyed my OC characters, Brett Sullivan for example. I chose the name carefully, Brett is the surname of Jeremy !! I wanted to discreetly have his presence in the story, a sort of double dedication !!! :)
2. The Adventure of The Wooden Boat
Ahh i had a great time with this. I wrote this story as i wanted to give an explanation/story behind the wooden boat seen in quite a few of the Granada Sherlock Holmes epsiodes. I wanted to give it some history!!! Actually i wonder if JB, Edward Hardwicke or David Burke took the boat home with them after the series ended.? It is a lovely thought !! :)
3. Lost And Found
I sat up one night feeling very depressed so i got my laptop out and just let my fingers run over the keyboard and this story was the end result. Alot of me is in the story as i know the pain of losing someone close to you all too well. Unfortunately.
4. The Soul Harvesters
Now this is a Space 1999 fan fiction story that had action, adventure and an element of superpowers in it as well. I just love my OC Captain Rogers in this story. I have been told by a reporter for the Space 1999 fan fiction magazine that had this story been written in the 1970s at the time Space 1999 was being made, it would have been a serious contender to be made into an episode !! I almost fainted when i got told that!!
5 The Medical
Another Space 1999 story, one of my earliest fan fiction stories. I wrote this as i was challenged by a work colleague to steam up the windows on Moonbase Alpha. She was joking at the time but her jaw dropped when i gave her a copy of this story!! Of course this story is now very much part of workplace folklore at work !!! :)
I would add Walking in Darkness but as this is still a work in progress it would not be appropiate to include this in my chosen 5 !!! :) All of these stories can be found at FF.net
