Writer's Block: Forgive and forget?

Ahh that is a question i have been asking of myself lately. But the answer is always the same. I DO forgive people. For me not too is crazy as it will only consume you if you dont. Can i forget? No of course not. But i am able to forgive people who have hurt me and move on. I would put any argument behind me and start on a clean slate. Sure things would be different of course but well that is what happens after a bitter argument. The only person i have not forgiven was someone who insulted my Mother's death after her long battle against cancer and wentr on to insult my grieve for her. THAT i cannot forgive. The longest i have stayed angry with someone is probably two to three weeks. And then i gradually fiind myself forgiving the person or persons in question. It is in my nature to do so. I am not a hateful or spiteful person. Would i want an apology? Well that depends on the circumstances. I would from the friend who insulted my Mother's death. But with others well a reconciliation is an apology in itself. And like i said i would wipe the slate clean and start again. With no strings attached. That is what a friend of mine and i have done. She is a very very close friend of mine and we have known each other for 16 years. I am very much looking forward to meeting her again on Friday for alot of laughter and fun and of course moving on. We are both mature enough to put behind over differences and start again as we care about each other too much to let one stupid arguement destroy a 16 year friendship !! I for one am delighted we are friends again. Friendship is very important to me and i choose my friends carefully. I dont usually let people get that close to me. Mostly because i am at heart a very shy person and a very private person as well. But i am also very gregarious and also at heart am a very spiritual and forgiving person, so yes i do forgive and i dont hate.
